Government has released nine point five million Kwacha (K9.5 million) for the rehabilitation of road infrastructure in Kabwe District in Central Province.
Kabwe District Commissioner, Patrick Chishala, has told QFM News in an interview that the people of Kabwe are anxious to have the passable roads in the district for easy transportation of goods and services.
Mr. Chishala has however assured the residents of Kabwe that all the roads in the district will be completed before the onset of the rains following the release of the funds.
Mr. Chishala adds that the road rehabilitation project in Kabwe faced a few challenges with the finances but that that will be a thing of the past considering that government has released the money.
He says government has also changed the consultant to work on the road design stating that the previous one did not do a great job.
