Another Boy Commits Suicide After Failing G12 Exams

A SCHOOL leaver in Chingola has committed suicide after realising that he failed the just announced grade 12 results.
Copperbelt police commissioner Joyce Kasosa, who confirmed the development, identified the school leaver as Patson Kabungo, 19 of 40 Kasama Flats in Nchanga North township.
She said Kabungo drunk Doom, an insecticide, and was found dead in the house. Kasosa said the death of Kabungo was extremely regrettable and has since appealed to the school leavers to accept the results and move on with life.
And Chingola-based life coach Maurice Makalu said that failing grade 12 examinations should not be taken as the end of the world but as a lesson of life because anybody could rewrite and make it.
“Every person ought to remember how he or she started to walk, which accommodated falling down many times but with courage to pick oneself up. Failing an exam should not be considered as the end of everything and the death of Kabungo is extremely unfortunate,” said Makalu.
