Kambwili said that it is unfortunate Mr Kabimba interpreted his advice to be a tribal element.
Mr Kambwili, who is also Minister of Youth and Sports, was reacting to Mr Kabimba’s statement that he (Mr Kambwili) is part of a clique of tribal elements sponsoring anarchy in the PF.
Mr Kambwili said: “First and foremost, I want to say and I have said before that [using an adage] he who does not get advice embarrassed himself before in-laws.
“And this is the kind of arrogance we don’t need as a nation. Surely, how can somebody give you advice like the one I gave and get blamed when I was not even being biased towards the cadres or towards the secretary-general?” Mr Kambwili said.
He appealed to cadres to stop the demonstrations because the actions are not healthy for the party and the nation at large.
Mr Kambwili said demonstrations are dividing the party and called on all PF members to exist as a unit.
“I have never gone to any of the cadres to encourage them to demonstrate and I can challenge anybody, I have never had any meeting with anybody to encourage them to demonstrate against Wynter Kabimba and I have no intention whatsoever,” he said.
Mr Kambwili said Mr Kabimba should work on his personal relationship with the cadres, who are complaining about his alleged bad and arrogant attitude.
