Not long ago, the PF SG told a shocked nation that PF ministers, mayors etc are answerable to the PF SG. This was quickly confirmed the following day by Dora Siliya who agreed that PF ministers, mayors etc are indeed answerable to the PF boss!
These remarks followed an incident where the acting Lsk mayor, at that time, tried to bring sanity into the city by demolishing some illegal structures at Kamwala’s Luburma market.
And indeed the following day, the PF SG told a still stunned nation that the LCC had apologised to the erring vendors and promised to compensate them! Now what does this truly mean country men and women? It means a Lusaka Mayor can NEVER implement any program of their choice without the approval of the PF boss!
IT MEANS the promises being given to you by those intending to stand as mayor on the PF ticket are all lies. Already lsk city is getting dirty AGAIN because vendors have returned in full swing. A PF Mayor can never remove these people for fear of reprimand from the PF SG for fear of losing votes.
So your guess is as good as mine as who we will vote for as lsk mayor. Don’t say you were never warned.
