Two men have been brutally killed by an instant justice mob in Lusaka’s Chazanga Township after they attempted to steal from one of the homes.
Lusaka Province Police chief Charity Katanga said the two met their fate when they attempted to steal from a Ms Chola’s residence in the early hours of yesterday.
She said Ms Chola called for help upon realising that the criminals had entered her house.
The neighbours descended on the two thieves and beat them to death.
Ms Katanga said the bodies of the deceased have been taken to the University Teaching Hospital (UTH) awaiting identification.
She said no arrests have been made so far but the police have opened an inquiry file into the matter
