Catholic Priest Encourages President Lungu To Remain Strong And Focused

A Catholic Priest has encouraged President Edgar Lungu and his government to remain focused and ignore the detractors.
Speaking this morning, Chawama Parish Priest,Father Stephen Mwape stated that God had given an opportunity to President Lungu to be leader of Zambia and the opportunity should be used to serve the people of Zambia
“Mr Lungu is President (of Zambia) and it’s final. Those begrudging him must be ignored and His Excellency has a job to do and please ignore those who seem to be failing to accept your presidency. fimbi mulesumina fye ati nafichitika”
He said Lungu’s detactors claimed he couldn’t be republican president. He said that even when he became President, his detractors we’re determined all sorts of false stories: “Iyoo Lungu teti abe president…te abo noma ba Lungu niba president sumineni… Ba
President ignore the doubting Thomases. That is their job…” He said as the congregation cheered him on.
“The priest continued: Love is the foundation of our country and I urge you all to love one another. Those who hate the president must not do so to a point of committing offences. The president is for all of us and when we saw him just about MP that is over. He now president. President even you are looking good as good as I’m looking in my robes there are some who will say Fr Mwape is not looking good! The job of those criticising you is to do just that but there are some whose criticism has some points and so listen to them. Ba PF ba UPND why fight, those who lose elections must accept the better team won. Do not fight. Love one another. Love the president.love the country”
