ZNS Trained Youths Cry For Jobs

Dear Editor,
WE, THE youths trained by the Zambia National Service (ZNS) in various skills in Kitwe on the Copperbelt and Katete in Eastern Province are appealing to government to find us employment.
Between 2012 and 2014 government, through the Ministry of Youth and Sport, trained about 500 vulnerable youths in different skills but after finishing our training we were taken back to the streets to fend for ourselves.
We are still unemployed and do not have the means to earn an income using our skills because we do not have capital and where to sell our products.
We are still suffering despite being empowered with these skills.
We are capable of making good quality products.
We are appealing to government to help us with employment if the training is to have any positive impact and change our lives and that of other youth whom we could employ.
