NAREP Denies Rumours On Chipimo’s Withdrawal from Poll

NATIONAL Restoration Party (NAREP) vice president Charles Maboshe has denied rumours that party president Elias Chipimo has pulled out of the January 20 election following the death of his father.
“I can confirm that today I received a call from my president on the death of his father and I take this opportunity to quash the rumours that our president has pulled out of the elections,” Mr Maboshe said.
He said in an interview yesterday that he spoke with Mr Chipimo who assured the party that his father’s death will not make him pull out of the race.
Mr Maboshe said all party structures are intact on the ground and will continue with the programmes until the last day.
“I would like to assure the people of Zambia that Mr Chipimo is very much in the race. I urge all the party members and the people of Zambia to vote for him as he stands for new leadership with a vision,” he said.
