Memorial Park Cemetery Grave Diggers Down Shovels

A cemetery,or graveyard is a spatially defined area where the remains of dead people are buried.

But some cemeteries are alleged to be not giving grave diggers more money in their pockets.

This was the scenario at Lusaka’s Leopards hill memorial park cemetery where grave diggers temporarily halted operations amid complaints on poor working conditions.

They claimed that they are paid what they term peanut salaries which range from 700 Kwacha.
The workers whose identities have been withheld had downed tools earlier in the day and resumed work after management addressed them.
