FORMER Game Stores employee Helen Chulu has accused store manager Maduramthoo Mare Palan of asking her to strip so that he could see her buttocks and ‘give her one’.
Chulu disclosed that Palan had on several occasions asked if she could strip for him.
“He would call me and use very inappropriate language like; ‘you have nice bums, I want to see your a**. Gosh I want to tap that a**’,” she alleged and added that Palan repeatedly told her he wanted to ‘give her one’.
Chulu said she never understood what Palan meant when he said he wanted to give her ‘one’ but she knew it was sexual because after that comment, he would always tell her she had “a nice a**”.
“He used to like telling me ‘you know I can give you one’. He would call me and when I go near him he would ask me what I am doing and when I respond, he would say, ‘you are looking gorgeous. I can give you one’,” she said.
Chulu said after she approached him and told him she was uncomfortable with his advances, Palan began verbally abusing her and made her job unbearable.
“He used to insult me. He would tell me, ‘f*** you’. One day I was standing in a different aisle and he found me and asked me, ‘what are you doing here?’ and I said, ‘I am manning that side’. Then he told me ‘can you keep yourself busy. F*** you’,” alleged Chulu.
