A 42-year-old Lusaka man who claimed that President Micheal Sata would be dead by May 30,2014 yesterday appeared before magistrate Ireen Wishimanga for plea.
However,the accused,Michael Muzondwa Achiume,a buisnessman of Libala South,could not take plea because his lawyer Jonas Zimba asked for an adjournment.
Zimba told magistrate Wishimanga that he needed to advise his client on the route to take.
Achiume is charged with publication of false news with intent to cause fear and alarm to the public contrary to the laws of Zambia.
It is Alleged that the Achiume on may 24 in Lusaka orally published a statement likely to cause fear or alarm to the public saying the Republican president would die by Friday May 30,2014.
The case has been adjourned to July 18.
two weeks ago,Achiume appeared before Magistrate Wishimanga on the same charge but different facts and he pleaded not guilty.
